With eight stunning air-conditioned suites and parking for nearly 200 cars, Saxon Hall provided the perfect venue for the Burnley & Pendle District 1759 Demonstration team performance at Southend. The date was 4th July 2014 and weeks of preparation had already taken place to get to this point.

Its been a bit of a slog since we all decided to perform the 1759 ritual for a lodge down in Southend. The drive itself in the minibus will be approx 6 hours, which means an early 6:30 am start from Burnley Masonic Hall. Hopefully the traffic should be quiet at that time.

Southport is the furthest the 1759 Demonstration team have traveled to date to deliver a performance of antient 18th Century masonic ritual. But in reality it was a breeze.
