The 1759 Demonstration Team paid a visit to Valley Lodge of Installed Master in Todmorden and performed ancient masonic ritual before an amazed lodge of past masters.
Todmorden’s Masonic Hall was purpose-built around 100 years after the demonstration teams era and the surroundings of the building really added to the ambiance of the night.
The Worshipful Master Dennis Heskett, on behalf of all the brethren said
A BIG thank you for last night to you and your team, one behalf of myself and the brethren, it is great when you see the brethren leaving the lodge in a happy and festive mood.
I think your WM should really curtail the alcoholic consumption of the SW it is people like him that caused the UGL (when it formed) to issue advice that members should not get in that state and act with decorum!! I did notice that he (SW) had two tankards and kept thieving other brothers’ ale to top up his own; very un-masonic.
A truly great night and the compliments and thanks for a wonderful night just kept coming.
